does anyone know how to add channels to a KV-1380R Sony Trinitron television.?
I have the following buttons: "EXT Stereo" "Auto Stereo" "MTS" (These three control audio...") "Brightness knob" "Color Knob" "Hue Knob" "Cable On/Off Knob" "Picture + or - buttons" "Erase Channel button" "Add channel button" and then on the outerpart of the tv I have "Timer/Block channel" and "TV/Video" and then the volume and channel buttons and a power button. I DO NOT have the remote. I've tried every combination of holding the add button and pressing the channel button or the picture + button and pressing the add button and then the volume or channel or picture button. I need to know if there is a way to do this w/o the remote. I found out how to erase channels (just go to a channel and press erase .. then change the channel) but I can't figure out how to get to the blocked/erased channels.
Without the remote to Direct-Dial in the channels, you can't ADD the channels....
You need a remote that works with a 20 year old TV set....so I suggest trying a Sony universal remote....hopefully it still has the codes for a TV that old....

US $23.99
